The DPRG spent more than a year working with the developer and other stakeholders on the new development plan for the Yonge\/Heath\/Alvin\/St. Clair East block that was approved several years ago \u2013 an important block that we consider includes the Deer Park \u201cTown Centre.\u201d It has a park on the northwest corner, mid-block walkways and 3 towers of 44, 41 and 22 storeys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of our major contributions was, after a year of debate, to relocate the service entrance to Alvin from the dangerous Heath location. We were to be involved at the site plan stage, particularly in ensuring that the important pedestrian areas would be attractive places and wind free. Wittington, the Weston development company, has been reviewing the approved application and is making some changes to modify the proposal.
